My Tarot Journal

I was pulling out all my Tarot and Oracle decks and items and found the tarot journal I spent almost a year in. I have decided to share it.

In 2024 I did not follow any spiritual journey that included the tarot practice I had started in 2022. I am not sure why other than there was a lot of chaos in my life that year and I am calling it my late in life Lost Year.

I was organizing and decluttering my tarot and oracles deck as I feel drawn to the power of them again. I stumbled on my completed journal that I started around October 2022 and ended in April 2022. I did start a new one but shortly after that I stopped doing daily draws and like I stated lost my spirituality.

I had a mental health blog that spanned ten years and I have since deleted it. It chronicled my journey from the black unknown to some sort of normality where I could function without constant ideations. I never once looked back and read that blog. So I found it weird that I did want to look at the pages and see where I was in my life at that time. It was interesting to see how life ebbed and flowed. It was also cool to see how different decks worked and what oracles paired and spoke to each other OR who didn’t like each other at all!

I am including some photos of my journal and how thick it got. Also the set up of the new one that I started and have decided to pick up again. It is a Hobonichi A5 grid journal. I love the paper. This year I have decided to keep a journal of deep diving into The Nameless One, special occasion pulls and shadow work, and the continuation journal for daily or when I feel compelled to dig into my life.

Do you journal? If so what do you use? And how does that affect your practice?
